Craig Whetlor has lived and worked in Ivybridge for over two decades, earning a reputation as the tradesman you can actually rely on. When you call Craig, you're not getting a faceless company dispatching whoever is available. You're getting a local man who takes personal pride in every job he does. Being based in Ivybridge means Craig can respond faster than tradesmen travelling from Plymouth or Exeter. For most jobs, he can attend the same day or the next morning. That responsiveness matters when you've got a leaking tap, a door that won't close, or a room that desperately needs repainting before the in-laws visit. Craig has worked on properties throughout Ivybridge — from the older homes around Fore Street and Western Road to the newer estates off Harford Road and Woodlands. He understands the quirks of different property types, from Victorian stone walls that need careful preparation before painting to modern plasterboard that requires the right fixings for heavy shelving. Many of Craig's Ivybridge clients have used his services for years. They call him for everything from emergency repairs to planned renovations, and they recommend him to neighbours and friends. That kind of loyalty isn't built through advertising — it's earned through consistent, honest, high-quality work. Common Issues ## Common Property Issues in Ivybridge ### Damp and weather damage Ivybridge sits on the edge of Dartmoor and gets more than its share of rain. Craig regularly deals with damp patches, peeling exterior paint, rotten window frames, and weather-damaged fencing across the town. ### Ageing properties needing updates Many Ivybridge homes were built in the 1960s–80s and are due for kitchen refits, bathroom updates, and general maintenance. Craig handles these modernisation projects with care and precision. ### Unreliable tradesmen from out of town Calling a Plymouth-based tradesman often means waiting days for a visit and paying premium travel charges. Craig is already here — he can often be with you within hours. ### Small jobs nobody will take on Big companies won't come out for a dripping tap or a shelf that needs fitting. Craig handles every job with the same professionalism, no matter the size. How It Works ## Getting Started in Ivybridge 1 ### Call Craig Tell Craig what you need.
